When did you start competing? : I started competing on the cable around 1999. I started competing on the boat around 2002.

Why did you start you sport? : I started wakeboarding to keep me out of trouble, but I still ride today for the love of the sport. I played a ton of baseball (and other sports) growing up and after I tore my shoulder up I wanted to try something new. After my first set, I was addicted.

Where have you competed? : I’ve competed all over the USA including Texas, California, Florida, Georgia and Ohio.

Most memorable story? : I remember when my mom got sick of taking me to the lake I’d take the public bus (#14 to the #72) with my wakeboard to catch some butter every Saturday morning. In the snow! Just kidding about the snow, but kids have it good nowadays……..

Superstitions? : Superstitions? Only when it comes to watching football. I’m a huge Miami Dolphins fan and over the last few years it’s been tough. If we lose a game, I’ll wash my jersey at twice. Just washing off the loss……

Most influence on your riding? : I would have to say both Diego Shaw and Jimmy Lariche influence me but for different reasons. Diego for his intensity and Jimmy for his style. They both impact the sport in different ways which is pretty cool.

Most admired in sport? : Parks Bonifay hands down.

Why? : He’s one of the pioneers of wakeboarding, and he did it his way. Battling back after all those knee injuries and still killing it today. Truly inspirational.
